Relationships, Another Key in Dream Work

heart keyIt’s important to surround yourself with people that believe in possibilities and-more importantly who believe in you. They say you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with-if they’re not dreamers, chances are you don’t have the support you need as you make your way through your dream work.

If you’re like most dreamers, you have people in your life that try to influence your decisions. Telling you to play it safe, be more realistic, always pointing out why something won’t work or how it’s failed for so many people. Those are not the people to share your dream work with. It’s time to build your Dream Team.

Just like a business has an IT support team to tackle problems and find solutions to keep things running smoothly, your dream will need the same type of support. You can customize your team qualities to suit your needs.

Step 1:

Create a list of qualities needed to be part of your Dream Team.
What type of support do you need? What qualities are required to be part of your Dream Team? Inspiring, daring, successful, positive, risk taker, creative, adventurer, anything is possible…

Unfortunately not everyone in your direct circle will fit the requirements for your dream team. No worries, you don’t have to know everyone personally, in fact, they don’t even have to be alive! You can learn from their example, their energy and their spirit for making things happen. Read their biography, watch videos of them speaking, read their quotes. If it’s a family member that has passed, revisit happy memories or journal the lessons they taught you. (as you may have guessed, Walt is on my Dream Team!)

You may notice new people that come into your life with the qualities you listed. You’ve put a message out to the universe to bring the right people in your life. Doing this exercise will help you identify them. The universe will support you by helping you connect with the people you need to support your dream.

Step 2:

Create a list of people that fit the requirements and needs of your Dream Team.
Who comes to mind for limitless possibilities? Or maybe already lives a magical life? Is there someone you can think of that has already accomplished what you want to do? Who is your biggest supporter? Who is your social butterfly? Who inspires you to reach higher?

Step 3:

When you need help, support, solutions, encouragement, etc-take it to your Dream Team. We all need support and surrounding yourself with the right people is how to get it. You’ll find the inspiration and encouragement you need when you build your own Dream Team.

I hope to be part of your Dream Team. If I can help you advance in your dream work, or if you want deeper clarity about your dream, apply for your free Dream Awakening session.

Happy Thoughts Make You Fly thoughts make you fly. They also open you up to attract what you need in your dream work….so get happy! Here are a few quick and easy ways to add happiness to your day.

1) Remember

For a quick mood booster, think back to a time when you felt really happy, joyful, maybe even giddy! Really put yourself back in that moment and remember how you felt. Your mind doesn’t know the difference between now and then, so you’ll benefit just as much from all the happy chemicals released in your system as you did back when the moment really happened.

2) Make a “Love List”

Journal a list of things you love that make you happy. Spending time with someone you care about, a hot cup of tea, a walk outside, snuggling with a blanket reading a good book, taking a hot bath, listening to your favorite song. How many things can you put on your list? Add to it every day. Choose 1-3 things to add to your daily list of to-dos. The more time you spend doing what you love, the happier you will be. When you’re not having a great day, you can easily pick something from your list to lift your spirits quickly.

3) Whether you’re at work, home, walking, driving, there’s always opportunity to find joy.

As you go through your day take notice of what makes you happy, brings a smile to your face-what makes you feel like a kid again? Is it the sunshine, watching a puppy play, a song on the radio, call from a good friend, hearing a funny joke? Make an effort to be aware of every good, happy thing happening around you. With that kind of focus, how could you not have a great day?

Get Happy! know how hectic life can get, how the pressures of everything can weigh down on you. Life takes on a serious vibe. We forget how to be playful and our happy vibe takes a dive. Well that won’t bring your dream to life. It’s time to get into your happy place.

“So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land.”-Peter Pan

It seems easier to remember the bad stuff that happened more than the good. The sting of something negative just lasts longer than the burst of a really good thing. The unfortunate superpower of the negative has a stronger impact on your day than the positive.

So why is that? Your brain is wired to pay more attention to the negative experiences. It’s a self-protective characteristic. Our instinct to scan for negatives (danger) goes all the way back to when we were hunters and gatherers. It made sense back then, if you didn’t scan for danger you probably wouldn’t make it through the day alive.

All these years later, it doesn’t serve our purpose to be so focused on the negatives. In fact, it can cause a narrowing, downward spiral and negative feedback loop that doesn’t reflect your reality accurately.

Fortunately, you are not doomed to be gloomy! You can harness the power of positivity by intentionally scanning for the good things in your life. You can actually rewire, or reprogram your brain to think positively.

Neurons, or nerve cells in your brain make connections, communicating through synapses. When you learn something, you change those neural connections. Every experience you have creates reactions on your brain. Those reactions trigger emotion. Negative equals negative and positive equals positive.

When you reactivate a circuit, synaptic efficiency increases, and connections become more durable and easier to activate. That means you can train your brain to make positive patterns more automatic.

When you practice looking for and being more aware of positive aspects of life, you fight off the brain’s natural tendency to scan for and spot the negatives.

Reprogramming to scan for the good things in life will help you see more possibility, feel more energy, and bring yourself into better balance. When you feel happy you dream at a higher level.

It’s time to ramp up your happy vibe and get positive! Fuel your day with happiness and you’ll be amazed what can happen. You’ll attract opportunities that align with your positive outlook and good things will start to add up for you!

Lighten your mood. Ride the positive vibe…when you play and have fun, that’s when the magic happens!

Finding the Positives you play and have fun, that’s when the magic happens! Celebrating and being grateful for small wins has a proven effect on dream work. Because like attracts like-if you feel happy, positive and grateful you’ll attract amazing and positive things that align with your dream.

It’s time to ramp up your happy vibe. Set your mind to scan for the good things in your life. You’ll see more possibility, feel more energy and bring yourself into better balance. When you feel happier, you dream at a higher level.

Get a dream journal and a pen and make this a daily habit. At the end of each day, make a list of 3 specific, good things that happened. Reflect on what caused them to happen, how they made you feel and why they made you feel good.

This could be anything big or small, as long as it makes you feel happy, grateful, joyful. Things like lunch with a good friend, playtime with your children, a free cup of coffee, it was a sunny day, etc.

You’ll feel your energy shift. This opens you up for possibilities. You create a vacuum for assistance from the universe. You will begin to notice the right people come into your life at the right time, resources you need appear out of thin air, doors will open and everything in your dream work will start to align effortlessly.

Start right now-what happened today that made you feel happy?

As you reflect on it, not only will you feel better, but know that your gratitude will attract just what you need to move you toward your big dream!

Dreamers Are Special people“I have a dream.” Certainly one of the famous quotes of our time. One man spoke those words and started a movement that changed our world forever. Imagine the courage and determination it took Martin Luther King Jr. to proclaim his dream to the world with so many odds against him.

That’s the power of a dreamer fueled by passion. They become unstoppable. Dreamers cannot rest once a dream in their heart begins to stir. Their passion grows and transformation begins. This passion turns darkness to light, hatred to love, desperation to inspiration. It creates miracles.

Simply put, dreamers are inspiration in motion.

Walt Disney, Albert Einstein, Steven Spielberg, John Lennon, (add your name here)-just a few dreamers that have inspired the world in amazing and beautiful ways.

When a dreamer steps into their calling, the world becomes a better place to live in, amazing things happen. Their fixed passion for the causes they believe in create positive change and influence others. The world needs more dreamers to step into their calling.

Unfortunately, many dreamers have not found the way to their dream yet. They wander through their life searching for deeper meaning, feeling lost or flat, uncertain why they feel the way they do. They have passionate visions but many times no direction to help them transform it into their reality.

Regardless, no matter what may not be going their way, a dreamer can’t help but feel deep down there must be more to life. They have an intuitive knowing they are meant for something great. This is what keeps them on “the hunt” for something bigger. And thank goodness because they have so much to offer the world!

I understand that dreamers are special people. I absolutely love how they’re wired. Many dreamers are misunderstood at times, but I totally get what they’re about. So of course my passion is helping dreamers unlock their someday box and help them see how to make their big dreams come true.

Belief Turns The Key!

magic keyUnlock your someday box with the courage to believe.

“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.”-J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

Without belief, your dream work will all be for nothing. No matter how much you dream of something, if you don’t believe in the possibility it can happen, you’ll never bring it to life.

Walt Disney lived his life as a grand adventure, dreaming big dreams, with no interest in being “sensible” or playing it safe.  Although his father insisted he stop dreaming and get a “real job” in a factory, he ignored his father’s advice and followed his heart. And thank goodness! The world continues to be delighted by his dream, his legend lives on.

As a young man he arrived in Hollywood with little more than pocket-change, the clothes on his back, and a dream.  Always believing anything was possible, he focused on dreams rather than obstacles.  He stayed true to his credo – Dream – Believe – Dare – Do. What worked for Walt, can work for you.

The thing I love most about Disney movies is the good guys always win and everyone lives happily ever after.  These themes reflect Walt’s belief in a magical world where dreams really do come true. That theme is what my business was built on.

I believe we live in a magical world and your dream really can come true.

Many dreamers I work with want to believe their dream can come true, but unfortunately they’ve had so many things happen in their life that have led them to believe otherwise. They run low on possibility thinking and question whether they can accomplish what they dream of.

It’s not really that they doubt their dream can come true, they doubt whether it can come true for them. Their self-limiting beliefs have taken over and it causes doubt and behavior that does not support their dream. They have tried and failed many times, a pattern of starting, striving and then crashing or giving up.

The good thing is while they have fear, they also have courage.

Yes, you can have both at the same time. No matter what may not be going right for a dreamer, they have the courage to be daring. It’s that courage that drives them to try for their dream again and again.

Fear is not something we are born with, it’s taught, learned over time. It’s a belief given to us by others and it’s a way of thinking that will never serve you in your dream work. Some fears won’t come out until you’re closer to reaching a threshold. That means the closer you get to the next step or level in your dream work, the more probable it is that a limiting belief will rear its ugly head.

Learning how to identify and eliminate limiting beliefs is a vital part of the dream work process.

They’re sneaky, manipulative and conniving with an agenda that does not serve your progress or happiness. Much like a villain in a Disney movie, they mislead you or trick you into a trap that keeps you from your dream. But like every great Disney movie, there is a happy ending for you-all you need is the courage to pursue your dream.

Dream work is not about being sensible, playing it safe or being realistic, like Walt has proven, it’s living with the belief that anything is possible and daring to do whatever it takes to make it happen! At Big Dream Awakening, anything is possible for YOU and I’m here to help you make it happen.
