“I don’t know”

DETOX TUESDAY – let’s free up some energy to create confidence and clarity!

If I could erase one phrase from your vocabulary it would be……..

“I don’t know”

I hear it all the time! Women say it in response to questions regarding what they want.

It doesn’t help anything. It keeps you in limbo. (unless someone else starts making the decisions for you)

“What do you want to do?”
“I don’t know.”

“What do you want to eat?”
“I don’t know.”

“What do you want in life?”
“I don’t know.”

Stop saying “I don’t know”.

I hear that response in probably 90% of my consultations initially. And there are real reasons for it, none of which are helpful for getting what they really want. That’s of course why women come to me, to get clarity on what they want.

Gaining clarity on what you want is part of the process, but there’s more to it than that. You also need belief you can have it and belief you deserve it.

Here’s what I know, every time you say “I don’t know” as a response to any question that pertains to you, your wellbeing, your dreams, your desires or your needs – you are actually telling yourself that you really don’t know what is best for you.

“I don’t know” translates to “I don’t know what is best for me”. It translates to fear and self-doubt.

That’s a lie. If you say “I don’t know” that means you’re buying into the lie.

Here’s the truth. You absolutely do know what is best for you, more than anyone else in fact!

Here are just a few sneaky beliefs hiding behind the “I don’t know”, see if any resonate with you:

  • I’m afraid to tell you what I really want
  • I’m afraid I’ll sound pushy if I say what I want
  • I don’t believe I can have what I really want
  • I’m too distracted to listen to what I want
  • I’m overwhelmed and don’t want to decide on anything right now
  • I’m not feeling passionate about much of anything
  • I was never taught how to trust my own intuition
  • I’ve been saying “I don’t know” for so long it’s an automatic response
  • Even when I say what I want, no one listens so what is the point

They say it’s the little things that matter.

It’s so true. Little things like saying “I don’t know” over and over actually shut your intuitive side down. And that matters.

Little things of that nature add up to feeling stuck, or making you question your own judgement about what is best for you.

You know what is best for you.

So, starting today, stop saying “I don’t know”.

Here are some easy ways to erase that sneaky little saying:

  1. Ask yourself what you “feel” for. Get out of your head and drop into your heart. It’s usually easier to figure out what you feel like than to think of what you want. So, what do I feel like doing, what do I feel like eating, how do I want to feel in my life. The rest will unfold from there.
  2. Pick a theme. Today I will choose things that make me feel adventurous, courageous, comfy, healthy, etc. Then when you’re asked what you want, choose something that fits in that theme.
  3. Just choose something FAST. Challenge yourself to make a decision in a matter of seconds. The longer you wait, the more you go up in your head and swim around in confusion. The faster you decide on something the more intuitive it will be. This also refines your intuitive skills.
  4. Take a break from deciding – when it feels right. Your response may be “I’m open to suggestions”, “I’m open to all possibilities”, or “I want to do what you want to do”. Sometimes it’s nice to let someone else decide on the smaller things so you can rest your decision making muscle and just go along with the flow. You are still deciding, but you’re leaving the outcome up to someone you trust. You may wind up trying something you wouldn’t have.
  5. Catch yourself and rephrase. If you hear the words coming out of your mouth, just stop, rephrase and move along.
  6. Trust that you know what is best for you. In fact, say it to yourself throughout the day –“I absolutely know what is best for me” then try these phrases instead “I would enjoy…”, “I would love to….”, “I choose…”.

What’s On Your Love List?

dreams come trueYou absolutely have the power to create a new dream – your own Heaven on earth. That can feel impossible if you’re not feeling good.

Fulfilling your dreams is all about energy, being in “the flow”, creating alignment with what you want, and how you feel.

If you’re feeling tired, stuck, overwhelmed or weighed down by heartbreak it creates negative energy that blocks flow and resistance that pushes what you want away – it also attracts more of what you don’t want.

The key is to release any negative energy that’s blocking you from getting what you want and get your energy flowing in the dream zone again.

Do any of these feel familiar?

Deep down you wish you had something to feel excited about again instead of this blah-nothingness.
You see decisions in your past as mistakes, “should haves” or “wish I hadn’t”.
It feels like nothing ever quite works out for you, no matter how hard you try.
You feel stuck, no ideas, just feel crummy and heavy inside.
What you want is just beyond what feels like an obstacle bigger than you can handle.
Every day you wonder when the heartbreak will finally pass so you can feel good again.

You feel like there must be more than what you see, what you feel or what you have.

It is. And I’d love to help you get it. There’s an easy process to making your dreams come true. Well, it’s usually easier than most people realize.

It’s time to get un-stuck, to let your spirit move and play. It’s time to release the past so you can dream again. It’s not as hard as it may seem.

For you to get what you want, you must simply be in alignment with your desire. That translates to feeling how you would feel if you had what you want – NOW. (not waiting to feel good until it happens)

If you’re feeling hurt, down, tired or not good, it may be because your focus is on something you don’t want or feel you cannot control – and your thought is “stuck” there, in a trap of “I don’t like this”.

It’s time to shift.

Wherever you are is the perfect place to begin.

First, check in with how you are feeling in this moment. Is it crappy, sad, frustrated or maybe even blah? It’s important to really acknowledge how you are feeling. (most women put a smile on whether they feel good or not, this is your chance to be honest with yourself)

Whatever you came up with is perfect. Yes perfect. Because it gives you a starting point. You are not staying here, you are healing from here.

Now, what would make you feel just a little bit better? A hot cup of tea, snuggle with your dog, curl up with a good book? It doesn’t have to be elaborate, in fact simple and easy is best. No thought, no planning, just instant.

The next step is to go do whatever you came up with-right now, in this moment. Go make that cup of tea, or snuggle your dog, grab your book.

That will create a shift in the right direction, move you to feeling a little bit better. Bring your focus to feeling just a little bit better. That’s all we need to turn start the healing. Then go do another thing you love and enjoy and another and another.

Create your very own Love List of anything and everything you can think of that you love, enjoy and that makes you feel warm and fuzzy, happy, comforted.

If you feel your energy and emotions shift back down the scale to anything icky, you can grab your list, pick something and go do it immediately without even needing to think about it.

To get in the hang of this, add 1-2 (or more!) things from your list to your daily to-dos every single day. This will help get you in the habit of doing all the little things you love so much so they add up to a life you love so much.

Your Love List is what I call a living document. That means you can continue to add to this list and help it grow over time.

Who Do You Admire Most In The World?

And WHY?

What great inspirations and qualities do you admire about these people?

I absolutely admire so many-Walt Disney being at the top of my list. He has inspired me since I was a little girl to believe in my dreams. Not only for his passion for imagination but for his tremendous determination and never-say-die-spirit to make his dreams come true.

It’s so important to identify these most significant people in your life for guidance, inspiration and for support along your dream journey.

You don’t need to know someone you admire to get their advice.

Cool thought right? You can admire someone from near or far whether you know them personally or you’ve never met. You can also ask their advice even if you never have a conversation!

When you admire someone, you feel a connection energetically.

You “get them”, they “speak your language”, you feel as though you’ve known them forever and as strange as it may seem, you feel like they would “get you” too if you were to meet, like two old friends reuniting to talk over the matter at hand.

And you are probably right. It’s called a Divine Connection. You may have people like that in your life right now. From the second you met you just clicked, without explanation or needing time to get to know each other. It was just BOOM, instant connection. (no accident there, thank you Universe!)

When you have an issue on your mind, a problem you feel stuck under-turn to those on your admiration list and ask “what would you do?” and let them answer in your mind. You’d be surprised how this actually works.

I think of Walt so often I swear he is with me in spirit. Whenever I have even a hint of doubt set in casting a shadow on my dream, I turn to Walt and all I can hear is him saying “if you can dream it, you can do it” and I’m right back on track. His spirit tells me what I need to hear. I’m so grateful to him for that.

I am the CEO of my life and I have a Spiritual Board of Directors. That means everyone on my admiration list including my Angels and my Higher Self, are a member of my Board.

When I have an issue or something I cannot get clarity on alone, I take it to my board in meditation. They discuss, brainstorm and offer their ideas and guidance.

It’s important to know you are supported and not alone. Create a Spiritual Board of your own. Anyone that sits on your board is only there to support you – and they do it with their energy and all the wonderful things they stand for that you admire – whether you know them, have ever met or not!

I have had many of my clients tell me they hear my voice whispering to them to stay positive, to believe in themselves, telling them to visualize what they want and go for it. That never gets old for me, it makes me so happy to know that I can support them wherever they are, whenever they need it.

What you admire about others — is also a quality in you!

Here’s a cool fact-

The reason you admire the people on your list, is because they act as a mirror reflecting similar qualities in you!

When you are drawn to someone because you admire them, it’s because of that connection I talked about earlier. You have something in common energetically-so the qualities you so admire in them, resonate with the same amazing qualities in you!

Perhaps you are sitting on someone else’s board. Wink wink.

Take time to answer these questions and it will change how you see yourself – and your life. You will show up differently and grander things will unfold for you more rapidly.

The more that you can implement your passions, strengths, values, desires, and motivations into your days, the happier your life will be and the more you will become.
